This is the prequel to Hell's Marshal and Hell's Butcher even though the others were released previously. This book will give you a better understanding of Frank's character and how he ended up where he is. I'm an admitted Frank Butcher fan girl. I think this series would make epic graphic novels and is the best book series available. This just adds more depth to an already rich character and story.
